Field of Corn
Field of Corn is a sculpture garden located in Dublin Ohio, that consists of 109, 6 foot tall concrete ears of corn that stand upright in rows. The park symbolizes the history of the communities farming legacy and serves as a memorial to rural landscapes. The land was once farmed by Sam Frantz, a pioneer in the use of hybridized corn. The site has now been named in his honor as Frantz Park.
Field of Corn has become a celebrated piece of public art, receiving multiple “Best of Columbus” honors since its dedication in 1994, being named the best public artwork in central Ohio on four separate occasions.
